In rural areas or small farms dedicated to small agriculture in the Basque Country, where small farming was one of the important engines of the economy in the past, there were usually loose animals in the vicinity of these hamlets, the animals were mainly chickens they peck the soil of the fields annexed to them in search of food, these fields were called in Euskera "Larre" (Field). In these small spaces annexed to the hamlets it was very common to see groups of chickens grazing or pecking, it was like their daily recreation before they were picked up to the chicken coop where they spent the nights.

These hens and their chickens produced less meat and eggs than those that were raised on farms, but it was a meat of great quality and eggs of an insurmountable flavor, when one remembers those flavors, he misses eating such quality products. special.

The production of quality food and ecosystems in which the animals that provide us sustenance live in comfort, should be the priority, our health depends on it.
